Sale of Age Restricted Goods Policy

Please note under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (as amended) the sale of knives and blades is in the age-restricted category.

As an online retailer of kitchenware, we offer for sale a range of bladed items which are restricted for sale to persons over the age of 18. We take the responsibility of age verification very seriously and we have placed the following measures in place:

If you purchase any of our kitchen knife sets, your order will be delivered by Royal Mail Age Verification Service.

Delivery of age-restricted items will be to the address on the shipping label or the reception of a commercial building. A valid photographic ID of the recipient will be required upon delivery. An age-restricted item can be delivered to another adult over the age of 18 at the same address.

Although age-restricted items can not be delivered to a locker, a nominated safe place, or a neighbour, they can be delivered to a Royal Mail Local Collect Post Office / Enquiry Office / Delivery Office, for age verification at collection.

Royal Mail will ask to see a valid photo identification if the recipient appears to be under 25, in line with their UK “Challenge 25” policy upon delivery.

Royal Mail will leave a ‘something for you’ card following any unsuccessful delivery attempt of an age-restricted parcel and will bring it to the nearest post office for collection with an age verification check. Alternatively, you can use the information on the ‘something for you’ card to contact Royal Mail to arrange a redelivery.
